 " Autumn "
Oh beautiful lady, Autumn
thy name be
Surrounded by bright red orange and yellow
for all to see

You blanket the earth
with your brilliant tones
Covering the ground with
pine needles and cones

The acorns fall, your
creatures to feed
While cooling the earth
to preserve its seed

For a season you will reign
in brilliance and splendor
Preparing life for the
beginning of winter

Bringing forth berries to feed
Nature's feathered friends
Bluebirds, jays, cardinals
sparrows and wrens

With all the warmth of a
Mothers heart
You ready the land so that
harvest may start

Allowing the sap to drop
So your trees can rest
Insuring that next Spring they'll
be at their very best
