" Little Bluebird "
Poor little bluebird with a
wounded wing
Yet in all your pain you still
find time to sing
What a lucky day for me to find
you on the walk
I'll bring you in to safety so
nary a cat can stalk

I'll wrap you in my blanket
and push you in my pram
I'll treat you just as gentle
as my little lamb

When you are all better, I'll
think of everything
I'll take you to the sun porch
and sit you on the swing

I will push it oh so lightly
A gentle breeze you'll feel
Let's pretend that you are flying
It will seem so very real

Now you're getting better, the
wing is on the mend
I thank God for sharing with me
such a special friend

I hope that in my garden you
will decide to stay
That way we can visit when
I come out to play Don't forget me little bluebird
as this is what I pray

I know I have to let you go,
now that you can fly
I'll just turn my head oh so
slightly, so you won't see me cry
For the time has finally come
for us to say ~GoodBye~
