" Scamp "

Here I go again doing
things I shouldn't.
Told myself that next time
I really wouldn't.

My Mistress is so loving
and kind,
Now she'll think I've put
her in a bind.

I did shred the paper on
the front stoop,
I did chew to pieces
that old hula hoop.

I even knocked over the
flower filled vase,
Chasing the long tail cat
with the white face.

Seems lately, I'm always
in perpetual disgrace.
Oh! how I love this happy,
adventurous new place.

I'm in for it now, its
so plain to see.
Around every corner trouble
seems to wait for me.

M'Lady this time I swear
it was on the ground.
I only tried to pick it up
so you wouldn't frown.

Since I've done so many
mischievious things,
I'll have to earn your trust
and all that it brings.

So even though I'm innocent
without a doubt.
I'll take the admonishment and
crawl under your chair to pout.
