I
have a life outside my own I venture out but never roam
I wander aimlessly around my home.
The inner soul longs for
intrepid flight
Powerful, relentless, always
looking for a cause to fight.
The outer me holds itsself
reliably composed, never
wavering from austerity
Constantly striving for eventual
prosperity.
Society prevents me from showing the other side of my face_
Inhibited by stoicism, one is forced to stay in her place.
One day the other side of me will be unchained and set free_
Allowed to roam at will until eternity.
