Oh! look at my reflection
Plain as I can be
Wishing for the beauty that
will one day come to me

Life will be so wonderful
if only time will pass
No more wishing upon this
guilded looking glass

There will be glorious parties
with beautiful people there
I'll dance away the evening
without a single care

Maybe I'll be discovered
become a movie star
The world will be my oyster
Fame will take me far

Pretty clothes and fancy
cars, a beau on either arm
I'll steal their hearts away
Breaking them with my charm

If life would only hurry and
get me to that place
Where I'll bask in beauty
style and grace

Patience is no virtue,
it just gets in my way
Diamond in the rough,
destined to sparkle..
